My co-worker and her husband are real nightlife people. As I am caretaker for my elderly parents I don’t have the opportunity to go out too much, but do enjoy hearing about their adventures of Chicago nightlife. Every Monday on our ten o’clock break she gives us an outline of what exciting adventure they had that past weekend. She explains it so well; sometimes we all feel we were actually experiencing it with them. The other co-works all gather together to listen to her tales. This weekend they started with a light lunch in one of the many fine restaurants in Chicago and then took a horse and carriage ride. They walked around Buckingham Fountain and saw the beautiful light show and listened to the free concerts at the band shell. They always enjoy the wonderful architecture of the buildings there too. Next, they went to a fabulous seafood restaurant, which is right off the shores of Lake Michigan and enjoyed a lobster dinner. After a wonderful meal they needed somewhere to work off those calories. They went to one of many of the nightclubs Chicago has to offer to dance the night away. On the way home, their entertainment continued as they waited on the subway platform and listened to the banjo player play his tunes.
