REALITY TV SHOWS
With all the reality shows on TV about flipping real estate properties for profit, I’ve decided to throw my hat in the ring as well. I’ve been doing work for builders and general contractors for more than a decade, I’ve got a good bit of money set aside and I’ve got an inside track. A good friend of mine works at a real estate agency that specializes in houses that have gone into foreclosure. I’ll be able to get the first jump on houses costing way below their market value, some of which will probably only need the minimal in cosmetic work, then quickly turn them around for a sizable profit. From having worked in the construction fields I know a ton of people: plumbers, electricians, concrete guys and landscapers – all together we should be able to turn the worst house over like new in no time. I’ve got a good feeling that I’ll enjoy this type of work a bit more than slaving for someone else for an hourly wage, and if my presumptions are correct I should be enjoying the money quite a bit more as well. All I’ve got to do now is convince the other people that I want to be involved that this is as good an idea as I know it is, and then I can get the ball rolling.
