Matt and Maria recently bought the house next door to me. They are a young couple and were recently married. After giving them some time to settle in I baked a cake and took it there to welcome them to the neighborhood. Maria invited me in for coffee and cake and to show me how they decorated their new home. They have very good taste and their home was beautiful. She told me that Matt’s job involved taking clients to special events in the area and then Matt usually ended up bringing them home for drinks or coffee and cake. She wanted her home to be welcoming to Matt’s clients. It was part of Matt’s responsibility to get tickets to these different events. I thought it was an exciting job but it must be difficult to find tickets, some at the last minute, to entertain his clients. Marie said that Matt used an on-line ticket agency that can get people tickets for almost every event you could think of. These tickets were also reasonable priced so Matt’s boss was pleased with that aspect of it too. They had sports tickets, concert tickets, theater tickets and even family event tickets. Matt and Maria also used this agency to buy tickets for themselves and their family members. A cake was a good trade for the information I learned from Maria and Matt.
