THE CARNIVAL
I got some good news today! The doctors expect my boyfriend and I to make a full recovery. I was finally released from the hospital today. My boyfriend is expected to stay there for one more night and then he can also go home to his family. My parents started looking for a personal injury attorney in Illinois to help us out. I think they managed to find someone who's good. Both of our parents asked a bunch of questions and, apparently, she's won nearly all of the cases she's handled. This definitely isn't how he and I pictured spending our week together. It was supposed to be romantic. It's amazing how these things happen all of a sudden. It happened while we were at the carnival. I told him there were two rides I absolutely didn't want to go on because they've terrified me ever since I was a kid. One was the Ferris wheel and the other was that ride that goes around with the hanging swings. Well, he must've caught me in a good mood because he was able to get me to go on the swing ride. Anyways, I should say he definitely had his work cut out with trying to convince me. This is still hard to talk about because I'm kind of traumatized over it but let's just say it involved one of the chains on our swing breaking. I just really don't want to relive that moment right now. I think it will be a long while before we both go to a carnival again.
